after my a4 recently came out of the shop for a myraid of things, the cd and cd changer buttons do not function. they had to take the center console apart to deal with something in the climate control system, and when they put it back together it those buttons didn't work. i couldn't believe it when the guy told me to take it to where i got the icelink for the ipod installed 3-4 years ago(ultimate electronics).
i know nothing of electronics/wiring, but he told me that there was a large yellow cable with an 8-pin connector coming out of the back of the head unit they could figure out what it plugged in to. my question is a) what is this cable he speaks of for? and b) has anyone ever just had these two buttons not work/how to fix it?
its a 2001 non-bose stereo, btw
