Hello,
My dealer has been unable to fix my car to keep the CEL off. I have been to my Audi dealer 3 times, they are 200 km away, and this is getting to be a pain in the A$$ (taking time off work and putting these unnecesary miles on the car)! Please provide any suggestions / recommendations.
I have the Shareware VAG Com and am still under warranty. Car is stock / unchipped 2001 1.8T.
History:
Sept. 11 - 16684 (P0300), 16685 (P0301), 16687 (P0303), 16688 (P0304), 16686 (P0302), 17658 (P1250)
Cleared Codes. On a very cold day these codes came up when the car stumbled and stalled just after start-up. Probably a one off frozen fuel line or something.
Nov. 21 - 17544 Fuel Trim - System Too rich
Made appointment at dealer. I assumed it was cracked hoses.
Dec. 5 - 17544 (P1136 and P1128) Fuel Trim - System Too rich / lean
Dealer replaced cracked hose on intake manifold. Code came back one or two hours after leaving dealer.
Dec. 30 - 16826 (P0442) - Small Leak Evap Emission Control Sys
17536 (P1128) - System To Lean
Replaced two more cracked hoses on intake maifold. Codes came back an hour or two after leaving dealer.
Dec. 31 - 16826 (P0442) - Small Leak Evap Emission Control Sys
17536 (P1128) - System to lean
Booked follow up at dealer will occur late January since I can't take more time off work for now.
Logged MAF readings in VAG-COM. Saw ~130 g/s max. Looked normal (if slightly low) for non-chipped engine at -10 celsius ambient temperature (I'm in Canada).
Dealer claims to have snooped all lines with smoke to check for leaks, checked MAF, checked O2 sensor, etc. I have asked them to order a new MAF to try. Any other suggestions? (I've searched the archives, and the only other thing I see is the Combi valve).
Thanks! This forum is awesome for Audi Owners!
