My CEL came on last month and ive been riding with it for a while now. I checked the codes and came up with P0422

I just replaced the rear O2 sensor I got an OEM one from ECS pretty easy to install anyway after I disconnected the battery for about 15 mins I turned the car back on and I still had the CEL. I scanned for codes again and it was still showing the same P0422 I cleared the code and if it pops back on again im thinking the next step would be a new cat?

P.S. Still havent gotten it inspected yet and already got a letter from the DMV with a suspension date for the registration. F*** emissions testing im moving to Kansas lol

The cats seem to croak at 80-120K miles. (earlier on the turbos)

Make sure you don't have a leak in the exhaust(check the flex joint).And the 02 sensor is OK. The cats usually provide an interesting "death rattle" when they die.

Magnaflow makes generic cats that work well. I replaced both on my V6 for less than $350 including welding.

No noiceable exhaust leaks so im thinking its the cat taking it to a local mechanic sometime this week ill keep you updated thanks for your help
