Is it possible to switch out a 1999 single DIN center console (radio, air control, and ash tray) for a 2000 Double Din console?? I would like to put in a touch screen radio in and i feel like that would be the easiest way if its possible...

I think it can be done, but first you need to verify what console do you have, and maybe swap that part too. There are 3 different models for the b5, the pre-facelift, the facelift and one intermediate, and i guess the mounting holes can vary from one to another. Maybe the easiest solution is to install a 1DIN receiver with motorized screen.
