Change in brake pedal feel after front pad replacement. Anyone else?
My brakes feel much "softer" following front pad replacement by Clair--presumably with Audi pads. I must depress the pedal much further to get a given amount of braking force.
I know that some people found the original A4 brakes touchy, but I really liked the quick, responsive feel. I feel like I have less brake now, although in a total panic stop, with the pedal fully depressed, perhaps the total braking force would be the same.
Has anyone else noticed this change after pad replacement ? I wonder if it is a new Audi pad design or if it is a problem with my particular brake job.

It usually takes about 100+ miles for the pads to seat properly...
That could be your problem, just give them time to get broken in and maybe they will improve.
