Default It didn't fix it, so i'm still trying to figure out what is causing it... we need to team up

i wouldn't recommend spending the money until i figure out what really is going on

Default Have you tried an A-RX treatment or any other full out oil flush?

Has a lifter like sound to it, but it could be other things as well. I have heard cracked manifolds that sound so much like a bad lifter before on other cars... Just a thought?

Default took it and hooked it up to a bilstein flush machine.

Here's the original post that started this whole ordeal.

i changed the lifters and the cam tensioner, it was still clattering away.
I added some ATF to the oil and ran it for about 15 minutes it quieted down substantially.

I don't think it's the exhaust manifold, but i do have the one that you sent me.

Default Ahh... test the oil pressure to see what it is making. Also---->

Throw some marvel mystery oil in there. It will help clean things and thin the oil out a little sort of like the atf did. Obviously if the atf helped then it's an oil issue.

I'd say the oil pump is somehow either not pumping enough or there is a blocked passage.

You can hook a gauge to it and test the oil pressure, not sure but IIRC you can not check it by Vag-Com but maybe that's not true?
