Over the weekend I changed all front control arms and sway bar links on my '96. I had the usual clatter and occasional creaks from the front, plus clunks when tapping the brakes. The whole kit bought on Ebay was $149 plus shipping, came in a very no-name carton, no instructions, but everything including outer tie rod ends was there, including a bag of all bolts/nuts needed. Fit and finish of alloy links, ball joints, and rubber bushings look good as original. I guess the A4 was looser than I realized, because now it tracks like new, besides there being no joint noise. Fairly involved job though. If you do this job, leave the inner joint bolts (through the rubber joints) loose until the suspension is compressed to ride-height.

That's a pretty darn good deal. Hopefully the parts will be durable and last a while. I bought one on eBay about 1.5 years ago for $300. It is made by HamburgTeknik(sp) and purchased from seller deutscheparts. I put about 10,000 miles with some occasional aggressive driving and it is going strong without any "looseness" so far. From which seller did you purchase the kit?? And did you get the sway bar from the same seller?

The set came from "CXracing". Their website price is $329, but the Ebay store price was $150; assuming it is the same merchandise.
