Distilled water is typically free of ions. Bottled water comes two ways, purified, or distilled. In both cases, ions are added into the water to make it suitable for drinking.
Boiling water won't do squat. You'll just end up with less of it. The minerals in tap water (like iron, lead, etc.) won't boil off.
