Changing muffler
I picked up a magnaflow muffler, because my stock muffler is damaged... I want to get a custom system but dont have the $ so I'm going to get this welled to my stock system,,, will it make any noise??? any anyone try this pros cons?

It is better than stock
the best would be to do the whole thing. However, the stock muffler is less free flow than the Magnaflow muffler. You probably will notice no sound difference at all. You need to replace the damaged muffler anyway, so you might as well put that one on for the time being. I did that in 1997 when full exhaust for the 1.8T was a bit scarce. I put an !AvantGarde rear muffler on, which is actually a Remus. The difference is, the !AvantGarde model is stainless steel and the regular Remus one is galvanized steel. Any change from the stock exhaust is an improvement.
