the Ultra-Copper resists the most temperature. So the Ultra-Copper I would use for the valve cover gaskets and the Ultra-Grey I would use for sealing oil pumps and the like. Having said that, it's kind of confusing that a company like Permatex makes so many variations of the same theme. I'm sure the red and blue will work just fine but... what's the point of SO many types ?
