I'm ordering some control arms from alloemaudiparts.com, and after specifying my year and engine type, I got this question:

To which chassis range does the vehicle belong?
-V160 000
-007799
-185000

I dunno!

I have the VIN around here somewhere, if that helps.

That's usually a reference to the trailing digits on the VIN.

141437 is less than 160000, so that's probably what you're looking for. When in doubt, call the place and give them the VIN. They should be able to confirm for you.

so yes I'd presume that the car is within that vin split.

as my VIN ends in TA317120, and the car left the plant on July 11, 1996. At the beginning of a year, the six-digit numbers start at zero again.
