Default Check Engine

recently i've had problems where the check engine light lit up. brought it to the dealer, they said the problem was the GIAC Chip.. brought it to place i installed the chip, remove the chip, they said the problem was with audi not the chip. brought it BACK to the dealer, the problem is STILL with the chip that USED to be in there.
is that a possbility? could it be b/c of GIAC?
i recently also installed GFB BOV.. could THAT be problem? i heard BOV tends to make 2001 a4 run "rich" could that cause engine light to light up? PLEASE HELP!

How do you know you're running rich?? Do you have a stock ECU to run test?

Default It's most likely not the chip.

Probably the BOV, but you need to have your dealer or somebody with a VAG tool tell you what the codes are to be sure.

running rich has to do with O2 sensor or the chip could have an open loop.
