coolant temperature sensor and reset the CEL; then about 2 weeks later I noticed that my temperature gauge was acting strange...It was normal then it dropped suddenly to nearly cold (C) when I was driving in freeway; Could it be the thermostat turning bad ( sticking open) ? Is it possible for a bad thermostat triggering the CEL? Please share info! Thank you

But as SpyderSE2 stated, when mine went, it did not set the CEL. If your thermostat is sticking open, your operating temp will take a while to reach normal, but once there, will not drop suddenly. My guess is that you got a bum sensor, have the dealer replace (under warranty since it is a recent replacement).
