check engine light started blinking today... blinked about 6-8 times and then stopped for a sec.?

Default not good...blinking is bad... solid on you can live with. Need more info for a better
diagnosis, but I'd bring it in for a code check at the dealer or VAG-COM it.

Default I looked up what the blinking means last time. It means possible damage to emmisions system.
Not the reason why it is blinking but rather if it blinks and you drive, you could cause more damage.

High likelyhood of a bad coilpack that didn't completely fail.

yeah...I had it happen once when my MAF was messed up..EGT's sky-rocketed...get it checked
