Checking out the Pontus body kit stuff...
Usually side skirts like these...that leave a black part showing, are pretty stupid looking i think. Since i own a black car, i bet it wouldn't look bad at all.
Any owners with black cars have these side skirts? Or anyone have this front lip...on any color car? I'd liek to see pics please...or does anyone know pricing info on this stuff? thanks!

the side skirt doesnt' leave it showing, the person opting to not remove the door trim does
That's what your seeing, the stock lower door trim. It should be removed or painted with ANY side skirt, or the S4 trim put on.

Ah, so is it just an easier install to leave the door trim?
Why do people do that?? Unless its black or painted to match...i think its pretty unattractive.

easier, or cheaper, depends how you look at it.
It takes time to rip off the trim, shave the pegs down, and put on a trim strip (ala markb and steve@motop). It also takes time AND money to rip off the trim, and put on $500 in S4 trim.. not to mention cost to paint it.
It also takes time AND money to paint the stock A4 trim, which wasn't designed to be paintedi n the first place.
I think it's ghetto that these companies use advertising pictures of their side skirts with an unpainted door trim. Atleast pchop that sheot off.

Yea, i agree.
I think since i have a black car...it wouldn't look all that bad to just not even f*ck with the door trim. Save myself some money...
