Chinese Heater Cores--How the Heck are you Supposed to Know?

I ordered a heater core from PartsGeek. Had a decent price and nice old-school Audi parts name attached to it: Febi Bilstein Germany. Pull out the box, and there's a little sticker on there that says "Made in China." What part of "Febi Bilstein Germany" am I misunderstanding?
This is a typical plastic-ended heater core. I'm wondering whether anyone makes one that's all aluminum. This one was advertised as "aluminum core" (are there any with a plastic core?) and if anyone has had failure problems with the Chinese-made units. I don't want to have to do this job twice.
