I heard there were problems with 2001.5 and swiching ECUs

Default Yeah, there are...get an APR chip.

You can have different programs stored in the ECU. Switch back to stock programming for service, and back to chipped mode when you're done.

Default You can get the ECU socketed...

That way you can switch the stock and aftermarket chip without having to swap the ECU. I'm going to do it with my GIAC chip.

Keep your original ECU as your stock one, then order an ECU from APR and have it chipped.
