Default Chip/K03 vs. Chip/K04

Can anyone tell me if I'll notice a difference between these two options at any rpm range UNDER 5000-5500? I mean if the ONLY difference is a harder pull from 5500 to 7000 rpm, then I'm having difficulty justifying the extra $1300. Okay, okay, the REAL dilema: do I go ahead and chip now, or do I keep saving for a K04 kit?

Default you could get the chip now....usually when you opt for the k04 they'll give you a

$500 discount for the chip. so thereotically you pay the same amount.

i know this is true for DSR, not sure about others.

Default Go for the kit,all GIAC dealers will give the discount if you have a GIAC chip already(edited)

discount varies from $200-300.
Running K03 software, will not be fun as the K04 draws bigger boost, I played with that the other day,we changed the software back to K03 (2kmodelDBW)and once it hit 22psi boost it went into limp mode, quickly reverted back to the K04 software.

Opps, you still have the stock K03, well then chip it for now, until you've got enough saved to get a bigger turbo upgrade,if you go K04 then you should get a discount on your kit once you go for a GIAC k03 chip, if you can really save then get the PES kit, if not then K04 is great for a daily driver and occasional track day.

Default you'll feel the diff in TQ all across the board

its got more ***** than the K03, no doubt. As for chip first, i'd wait for the whole K04 package, if you are sure you want it. The discount the various shops give to current GIAC customers w/ the stage one chip is NEVER what you paid for it in the first place. You'll always take a loss, so if you're going to do the upgrade in the near future, i'd wait. If you're looking at upwards of a year, go ahead w/ stage one chip. But dont expect to break even.

Default Keep saving

That is exactly the dilemma that I was going through. Then I tought to myself, think of the TQ and HP I am gonna get over just a chip.. It may take a while, but it is worth it in the end...
