Will a GIAC 1.5 bar chip fit on my 98 a4?
Will it go on my a4?
How much does it cost compared to the wett?

Giac doesn't offer a 1.5 bar chip. They have a stage 1.5 though....
that averages 1 bar (mine peaks 18, drops off to 12 at high RPM). Anything over that works the stock turbo waaaay too hard, making it even more inefficient.

That would be death to the turbo...
The stock turbo is only rated for 7 psi. After that it gets ineffecient and starts heating the air. The stock IC does a pretty good job of removing the extra heat though. Plus, the more boost you run, the higher the shaft speeds, that's why most chips cut back the boost at higher RPMs.
