Default Chugging in second gear

My car seems to chug like a train in second gear between 2500 and 3000 rpm. 1.8t 1999.5 Its not noticable and I had to point it out to someone, but is it a problem or just me being stupid.

Default right...

maybe you should fill the tank with gasoline rather than coal or wood.

Try to explain the problem a little better so someone can give you real advice.

It's the best I can explain it, just a like there is a loss of power then a power gain then a loss of power etc. happens fast from 2500-3000.

Default I get a slight bit of hesitation in that RPM range, but only when it's cold.

It's been that way for as long as I can remember, and never gets any worse. And it basically disappears once the engine's warm. So I figure it's nothing to worry about. Mine's a 99.5 too.

Are you chipped? Mine does it chipped and unchipped.
