Default cigarette lighter space
What is the space to the left of the cigarette lighter for. Can I stuff a boost gauge in there. How does it come apart

Thats the ashtray on mine, i suppose if you took the ashtray and gubbins out and just put the front back in place to fill the gap and/or you could put whatever you wanted there.

It wont open on my 97. I was afraid to pull it too hard. Ill check when i get to my car though t.hanks

you can pull the tray all the way out on mine and its a 97.
I'm sure thats how they start to take out the center console.

LOL yeah I got the whole thing out... but the ashtray is stiff as all hell to open. When the unit is in its place it still wont open at all.

all the gears in there are plastic. I dont know about wd40. worth a try though. I dont smoke anyway. I have decided to put the boost gauge in the drivers air vent.

Don't use WD40 on plastic, use something silicon, that way you don't damage your plastic.

Mine has to be pushed in and slides open, but the one cog is fubar'd so i have to get a key or something in there to force it open
