Just got clear corners in as i'm only a recent A4 owner...want to have everything on hand when i take it apart.
the stock bulbs are they amber or clear?
which # bulb are they?
Can you buy the silver coated amber bulbs locally or do you have to paint them yourself?

Stock corner bulbs are amber, at least they were in my 98.5. I just bought a spray can of Krylon and gave them about 4-5 really light coats, waiting maybe 15-20 minutes in between. Works like a charm -- bulbs disappear in the clear corner housing but blink amber.

Don't remember the bulb # offhand but just use the ones that are already on your car.

What about side markers? Those are clear and blink amber through their amber lens, so I replaced them with yellow bulbs so they, too, would blink amber upon signalling.

Which I always do, by the way. Seriously. Really.
