clear corners

has anyboby been able to replace their amber corner bulbs on a 2000 A4 with clear or super white bulbs? did you have to remove the whole assembly? is it possible to remove the orange plastic insert? please send instructions on how you did it. thanks

As far as replacing the amber bulb in the corner marker with a clear bulb, that's illegal. You need turn signals which flash orange...with clear bulbs you're asking for trouble from the police. If you really want to do it, just go to you local auto parts store...the bulbs are right there on the shelf.

...but a recent update posted a few days earlier indicates that the prognosis is not good. According to that update, it's going to be very hard and will require removing the copius amount of glue that holds the whole assembly together really tight. My guess that if it is do-able, it will be a very high-risk and difficult mod to do and probably not worth sacrificing your headlamp assembly over as the average person will probably break it or not be able to put it together properly.
