Default Clear or Smoked Side Markers for my Brilliant Black A4?

I'm ready to order the Bosch clear corner lights for my '99 brilliant black A4. One question. . . should I go with clear or smoked side markers? I've only been able to find pictures of Black A4s with smoked side markers -- and all of them also have smoked taillights -- an option I don't want. Suggestions?
Jeff K
'99 1.8TQM - 850 Miles - Keeps getting BETTER every day!!!

I vote for smoked side markers. I've seen black BMWs with clear sides and it's too much contrast.

Default I've got clear on mine, and they look great....

I've got the clear side markers (and clear corners as well) on my Brilliant Black 1.8T. I absolutely love how the clear sides look, especially in conjunction with the clear corners. The best way I can describe it is that they look like diamonds set into the doors. I've got the Ronal R-28 wheels too, and when the wheels are clean (!) the overall effect with the clears is a great black/silver combination.
I would definitely go with the clears. I've seen photos of the smoked markers with black, and I think they don't stand out enough. You might as well not have markes.
That's just my opinion. No flames wanted or needed.
Miles

Re: I have smoked side markers for my Brilliant Black A4? I think they stand out less than the clear ones (nt).

As you can see, it's all your own preference. To blend - smoke. To contrast - clear. I'd do smoke myself.

Default Smoked is out of fashion in Europe...

Smoked lights of anykind are out of fashion, along with body kits and air scoops.
Stay with clear.
