Climate control - compatibility with 1996 model?

Climate control - compatibility with 1996 model?
My climate control appears to be completely dead: no lights, no action (servos or blower motor) from pressing any buttons. Fuse is OK, so I guess this means it's toast, right? Can anyone confirm what years are plug-and-play compatible with the 1996 Climate Control headunit?
