Climate control flickering???

Climate control flickering???
I have a 96 2.8 and my climate control flickers completely at random. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Anyone had any experiences with this?

ive got a 96 2.8 and started having the same problems a few weeks ago....
i assume that it is just a bad connection in one of the cables.
even when the numbers go out, the backlight stays on (when i have the headlights on that is)
