Default Clutch failed Monday at 45,000 miles - long -

Got my car back from the dealer yesterday after they replaced eveything but the lines. My wife took it in two weeks ago after it started slipping badly, but it would only do it intermittently and did not do it for the dealer and the tech told my wife that "no codes" came up. So last week I took it to a differant dealer and told them that the master/slave cylinder was bad. They told me that they could not find anything wrong, so I asked a salesman to give me a quote on trading for a 02. He had the used car manager test drive my car. His comment was everythings good except for the clutch. I told the salesman tell that to your tech's since they think eveything is ok. By Monday morning it was toast. I made it to the first dealers door with the clutch smoking like the car was on fire and no clutch pedal left. This time the had no trouble finding the problem - bad master/slave and they replaced it under warranty. Of course they said it was due to the way it was driven and not due to the fact that some 00 cars came with faulty master/slaves.

Default It failed under warranty, a failure is a failure and counts against Audi's record regardless.

So screw them.
