Default clutch not engaging

The clutch had been working fine, no slipping. Now I can put it in gear easily and shift easily but the clutch is not engaging against the flywheel... you can hear it touching very lightly but it provides no power. ???

Pressure plate broke...If master or slave cylinder is bad the clutch won't disengage.

Default Hmmm. More info....

It will allow me to shift gears.... when I release the clutch it starts to engage (you can hear it) but it doesn't provide enough pressure to move the car. The fluid was pretty low but there was still some in the res. I put more of the Audi hydro in but it didn't change much.

I live on a hill. Could it be that it was low and now needs to be bleed?

Default again the PP is broke...more

They clutch always engaged until the hydraulics of the master/slave system disengage it. when you step on the clutch pedal the master cylinder pushes fluid into the slave cylinder. then the slave cylinder moves the throw out bearing into the diaphram of the pressure plate. Basicly, when you step on the pedal, you take the spring pressure off of the pressure plate, which clamps the clutch disk to the flywheel. Long story short, if the clutch won't engage the pressure plate is broke. If the clutch won't disengage then you have bad hydraulics. This is a general rule of thumb, I have seen different cases, but it sounds to me as if your PP is broke.
