Clutch opinions.. Need help deciding.

Default sounds pretty rough on the clutch to me...

lots of slipping and shock loading

Default LOL thats because they have unsprung clutch discs

if you ever drive one you will see why they HAVE to do that, there is no give to it, you cant slip it to start it, it either is engaged or it isnt unlike a normal clutch

Yes, you are loading the transmission then allowing the gears to slack, then loading them again etc. This is hard on the transmission gears as well as other companants in the clutch. It also stresses and wears the throwout bearing, slave etc....

If youre happy with how you do it now and feel comfortable, do that. I have always tried to slip it very little and get my foot off the clutch right away, but maintain constant low throttle. Dont listen to me though, I dont know that much, I was just givin you a hard time. I picked up my habits from truck driving ( i was trained by some damn good drivers), where clutches cost big money, and your job was on the line for hurting equipment, I never use the clutch other than first and reverse either in a truck. If its slipping its wearing.
