We were driving in a meet and as i did a burnout, i shifted to 2nd gear and got traction at like 7r's but when i went to shift into 3rd, i couldnt go into any gear and you could smell the clutch burning but if you turn the car off, you can put it in gear and start it but the car just goes so im thinking its either a slave cylinder or the hydraulic linkage. If you have any suggestions, please reply.

when that happened your clutch must have melted to the flywheel. Because if it was your hydraulics you would not be able to move the clutch at all or just fall to the floor.
