Clutch Screeching upon engagement
I have a spec stage 2 clutch and it has always screeched slightly when engaging hard in 2nd gear and up. Recently it has been screeching upon engagement in first gear. From my knowledge I can make the assumptions that the throwout bearing is on the way out and it is only a matter of time before it ceases. Any comments, opinions are welcome. Also can a lightweight aluminum flywheel be resurfaced? And as for my experience with spec I am not pleased because it was slipping for a short period of time and when I contacted them only to hear I would have to remove it and ship it to them for an inspection. So I would end up paying to basically have the clutch replaced once again after only 10k miles of use, deal with the car being unusable, and possibly not recieve and compensation for anything.

Try a couple of high RPM launches. Often that screech is from deposits of compound on the flywheel.
A couple of launches can 'burn it off'. In my experience .. the squeal is likely to come back after a bit. I just toasted it off from time to time. Also, being very careful to not slip it on launch will help ...
