Default Coastal 75-90 good for differential fluid? [pic]

just wanted to make sure this is ok to use for flushing my differential fluid. I'm in a 2001 A4 30v quattro auto/tip. i understand there are 3 different spots to change the differential fluid:

- before tranny
- after tranny
- rear differential

i was told by a local audi mechanic to get 75/90 and make sure it's Gl-5, which this appears to be. got 6 quarts from advanced auto parts. am i ok to use this?

Default a comment....

The factory fill is G 052 145 S2. With a tip driveline, I'd be somewhat leary about a non-oem approved oil changing the friction coefficient in the driveline.

Default Let me back that up!!!

77'911 is right. I changed out the trans and diff fluid on my 2.8 A4 5 speed with Mobile-1 syn fluids. Correct weights but wrong GL spec. In no time I could hardly shift into second. Verify GL-4 and GL-5 correctness. When I put in the right GL spec fluid it corrected the shifting in 5 miles. Good thing you are doing your homework!!

Opps! You are in the diff not the trans. Well for all those that are reading pay attention about the trans fluids.

Default Junk. Used that brand in my SUV tranny and diff. Less than 15k miles later, it

feels like both cases are filled with water. Loud and clunky. Stick with Amsoil stuff.
