Code P1113 Shutters under load under 2000 rpm
I am at my wits end.
I have an 2000 Audi A4 B5 atw engine automatic trans. While at idle no problem, while the car is in neutral I can rev the engine or hold it at any rpm and no problem. While driving and the car is under load and under 2000 rpm the car shutters and the rpms jump 200 to 400 rpm. While driving at constant speed there is no noticeable problem. I can feel a slight shutter just before the car shifts. There was a check engine light and emissions workshop message but after I cleaned the MAF sensor they went away.
So far I have replaced the oil pump, turbo, small vacuum lines, coil packs, spark plugs, O2 sensor precat, valve cover gasket. I have tried unplugging the MAF and the problem still persists. I had it scanned at autozone and the only code that comes up is
P1113 O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heater resistance to high.
I just replaced the O2 sensor could it be bad? I had the same problem before I replaced it.
There is oil on two of the spark plug threads although I haven't checked them since I changed the valve cover gasket.
Could it be a boost leak or vacuum leak?
Could it be the pvc system?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you deliberately being difficult?
This is like pulling teeth.
I know what the VAG-COM software is. My question is regarding the codes or other measurements you found in VAG-COM that lead you conclude that the torque converter was bad? You posted one O2 sensor code, then later stated:
"Update: After a Vag-com it appears that it is the torque convertor slipping"
I am asking what you saw in VAG-COM that lead you to this conclusion.
I am also asking how you know the level is correct in the trans. Who checked it? When? How?

Sorry I miss read your question.
The fluid was checked by a mechanic, I don't think you can check the level, he was checking to see how dirty it was and after seeing what the fluid looked like we decided to change it. Now the transmission is full and has a new filter. He made sure he got as much of the fluid out as possible. The car still has the problem and a replacement transmission is in my future.
The VW mechanic, not a dealership, stated that it is common in the 2000 1.8T with the EFP transmission for the torque converter to fail around 205,000 miles. Mine has 209,000. He was sure this was the problem after the first test ride. So we went for a second test ride with the Vag-Com connected. During the second test ride the computer was reading that the torque converter locking and unlocking at the same time that the car was shuttering. I didn't see the specific information but that was what the mechanic kept reading to me while I was driving.
They didn't find any boost or vacuum leaks. I have replaced most of the hoses.
The O2 sensor was due to the MAF and had nothing to do with the problem.
