coil pack question

coil pack question
Car went into limp mode, pulled codes -- cylinder 3 misfire. Swapped coil pack on cylinders 3 and 4, pulled code, then said cylinder 4 misfire so I was pretty sure it was one bad coil pack. Ordered a new one put it in, car started up smoothly. I drove it 10 miles w/o issue. Parked it for a few hours, drove off again and it went back into limp mode. Pulled the codes and it said cylinder 2 and 4 misfire -- cylinder 4 has the brand new coil pack.
Car is an AWM 1.8T. Had all four coil packs replaced under recall several years (even though I've had at least one fail since then). No other codes.
Anything else to check besides spark plugs?

Dan

There's a new recall on the 2001 A4 coil packs. (yes another one). You might check with Audi before you proceed.
In my experience when coil pack goes bad it can cause phantom errors on other cylinders.
