Where to begin... monday morning the car drove fine, by the afternoon, i got in it and started it and the engine/car started shaking. VAG'd it and got 4 faults:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
16686 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
16684 - same
16686 - same
I ordered a new coilpack tried in each cylinder, nothing. Added new spark plugs, used old coilpacks and still nothing. And finally tried the new coil pack in each one, yet again NOTHING!
Does anyone know what else I could try or have any information as to what could be causing this?

I had same problem. Machanic said ECU (the ignition computer. the brain. the part that is chipped). $890 new. $526 rebuilt. got $300 on Ebay from salvage car plus $240 labor. Did not work. Changed 2nd iginition module for $378 (part samx is showing you). That's was it. Changing ECU was a waste of time and money. I now have a spare ECU.
