"Both VW and Audi dealers have finished below the industry average the past two years in the J.D. Power and Associates customer service index study that measures how consumers are treated by dealership service departments. " - My favorite part of the article :-)

http://www.autonews.com/news.cms?newsId=4524</a

Bremi's annual revenue is only 40 mil euros. They would make those guys go bankrupt. Until they find another reliable and large enough supplier, they won't touch em. Hell, they should just buy them out :-)

the 4th one :-( This happened a while back, reading those reports doesn't make me very comfortable because they mention that even early 2003 production cars are affected, which means IMHO that back when I had my coils replaced...maybe a year ago tops, those are also potentially failure prone units :-( arrrggghhhhh.

They have gone through enough revisions by now that there is no reason to believe the problem is finally fixed. If you're got working coils right now, don't be in any hurry to swap them out, until AWer's can report back after logging some miles.

serious thought to keeping an extra one in the car if they're only $22.50 each as that article claims.
