Well car didn't start again. Took the car to Audi, and it had a fault code for ecu relay, which Audi says may be the relay, or may be the ignition swicth. Bought the switch and ordered the relay. We will see what happens.

When you crank but the car doesn't start, are the dash warning lights on as normal while attempting the start? Important clue may be here.

yes, but after i turn the key and it doesn't start the check engine light goes off.

Car didn't start again! Dealer says it has to be the ECU relay. It will be in tomorrow. Anyone know where it is located so I can change it myself?

Relay is #30, will attempt to replace this morning.

Put in the relay, it only took 2 minutes, will see if that fixes it.

The car has started for the last couple of days with no problem, looks like the relay fixed it.

Can someone explain why the Relay would cause this behavior? I imagine relays being alive or all-dead, not un-dead.
