ok, new issue on my 98.5 concert/bose stereo. yesterday i posted about the code not working. evidently someone changed the radio. i found a dealer service record that has a NEW code to try. however, now that i tried and failed with the code that i thought was correct the radio is stuck in SAFE mode. if i push and hold RDS and FM2 nothing happens! i tried to wait an hour, and i dissconnected the battery. neither of these helped. i also removed and reinstalled fuse # 37. has anyone had this happpen, or heard of it happening? if i had this code the other day, my radio would probably be fine. now it looks like it might be toast! any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

I recall reading that if you input the wrong code 3 times, the radio needs 1 hour to accept another attempt - the key is that the ardio needs to be 'on' for 1 hour. Just make sure all your other accessories/interior lights are off to save your battery.

Or, call the dealer and ask...
