What about iridium or platinum plugs on a NA 2.8? What would you recommend?

I run the iridium on my 2.8 - the idle was smoother after I changed.

and this was after only 20K miles on the orginal plugs and I thought that the car was smooth to begin with.

Just replaced some with 38K on my Wife's truck (Cheap Autolites) they looked worn, but acceptable.

Not that I'd allow my car to go that long, but newer ignition systems seem to be easier on plugs. (Her Dodge Durango (aka: Money Pit, POS, and a few other names) uses coil packs, simular to Audi.
