Default The continuing saga of the ABS computer...

So, I have the all too common failed ABS controller on our A6, and have been trying to find a way to fix it. Luckily, it's easy to remove it from the car, all you need to do is pull the inner fender liner, and remove the washer fluid tank to gain access..

Here's what the guts look like, as previously posted.. This was a 'doner' controller, which was given to me for testing.

Default Did you do a search on those guys?

I recall quite a few recent posts over in the S4 forum, where someone sent back his to be rebuilt and got some other damaged unit in return. Then they sent another, still didn't work. He finally gave up and bought one new. Something like that....I'm sure it'll turn up with a quick search. All I know is that there has been at least one person with an issue with AutoECU.... FYI.

Good luck.

Andy

Default force of habit.. we also have a 2.8 A4 Avant, and we replaced a 2.8 sedan with the A6...

the brunt of my 18,000 posts here on AW are here in the B5 A4 forum...

The A6 is 'my' car, my wife drives the A4 Avant.. Check my page, you'll see our A4s...
