Default hmm it appears I have an invalid VIN... Maybe my car was just pieced together after the fact, prob.

why a lot of things seem to fall apart on it...

Default Is it possible that the day and month are transposed? (more)

Or maybe the online decoder is the day the build information is entered into the system and the sticker is the day it is finished?

Default i know Europeans transpose month and day. or maybe it's us.....

from the site 5/3/97. that would be 5 mar 97 my B pillar says february. everyone should use center month abbreviation like the military. if my car was finished on the 5th it took less than a month to reach the dealer in NH. the 5th was a wednesday and my car is the most reliable one i've ever owned.

Default nope, early 2001. Found this out when ordering timing belt kit. Figured it was though, 16" sport

wheels, not 17"s that were common on 01.5. I want to say its like build date Dec 2000. Not sure why my VIN was no good. I dont actually have my car or VIN with me. I searched my name and found the VIN I gave Mike at purems.com for my timing belt kit. So it should be right. I'll have to double check when I get my car back (which is hopefully soon). Back at the shop getting shock mount replaced, there was so much noise/metalic rattles from it. They also noticed that one of the control arms they installed in December is failing, rubber boot didnt break, but came unsealed from aluminum arm. Which makes me worry about the other CA's/TRE's that were put on the car. Either way pretty sure they are covering it under warranty, but just means the car is sitting in the garage right now apart while they are waiting on the lower CA to arrive. They said should be finished this afternoon, lets hope.

Default I know when we ordered our '01 my friend gave us updates on the build progress of the car...

She submitted a change order to one that was similar to what we wanted (line jumping) in late October 2000. The car shipped early January and was delivered to our hands Feb 1, 2001.

Default there's 2001, early 2001.5 and late 2001.5 -- which are by VIN, not date.

that's why you should always check your PNs. some cross-over, some don't.
