This was also posted in the engine discussion but hope to get an answer here. Please read below and excuse the repeat post.
When replacing a coolant flange, is it neccessary to replace the hoses as well? Actually, the leak seams to originate from the hoses. Should I only replace the hoses? Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

yea that does make sense. i just didnt know if being proactive on the hoses is the way to go. or if leaking from the flange appears to be a leak from the hose thus only requiring replacing the flange. Either way are the hoses & the flange prone to failure?

well that only seams logical. but i dont want to take a hit on the hose if I dont have to. and as i just posted, will a flange leak appear to be a leak from the hose?
