Coolant level problem

2nd owner Of an audi a4 2000 2.8l, got a coolant exchange from sears... Realized that wasn't the best decision, mainly because they higher poor mechanics at the auto shop near me. After they drained the system, they put new coolant in. By the next morning my coolant level dropped about an inch. I put water in it and it rose back above the line minimal coolant level. Once again the next day it drained about an inch. I put water in one more time and it has stayed At the maximum coolant level reservoir capacity for a couple days now and seems to not leak. If anyone has any idea what may be happening please let me know, thanks

They probably didn't know how to bleed the system. If it holds the level I think you are okay unless you see puddles on the ground.
Probably need to get some pink stuff and change it out yourself.
