coolant Temp on an AWM (doing it now, cant find ****e)

just got the valve cover gasket on and cant find the coolant temp for the life of me.

anything more than "its squeezed up against the fire wall" would be amazing.

off the head, in the back, right hand side, under some black pipes.

biased towards the passenger side of the block... follow the coolant pipe

you'll see it go into a black plastic port at the back of the engine... coolant temp sensor is sticking in there vertically

Its squeezed up against the firewall.

Haha careful, coolant will slowly leak out.

errr...the driver's side. the pass side has the combi valve.

On an AEB it looks like this:

So not under the large metaly thingy (manifoldy thing)

but more towards the back of the car?

should I go at it from the underside? or should I start pulling black tubes off and labeling them for replacement until I see it?

because I only see one thing that has a wiring harness and its on top going into the head <b>horizontally</b>
