Is the coolant temp sensor an easy install?
The coolant temp gauge on my car is all over the place. I have read that the coolant temp sensor has been the problem for some people. Anyone do this already, and if so, any tips on the replacement for a DIY?

Easy.....its on the back of the head closest to the fire wall and its held in by a simple clip....
not too hard to change at all. IIRC, the sensor isn't too expensive either.

I paid about $36 for mine. Also, wait for the coolant to cool off and open the tank...
so you let the pressure out. When you pop the old sensor out, coolant will come flying out if you don't relieve some of the pressure first.

Not bad if you know how to do it. All I had to do was remove the tube connected to the MAF. From
there use a flat head screw driver and remove the clip . Pull on the connector and the coolant sensor will come right out. Then undo the clip from the connector and unplug the coolant sensor. Replace and put back in. It's a little tight in there but doable.
