Is 35mm offset right. I'm looking at some RS4 replicas. I realize most people are going with 17's but I'm interested in 225/50R16's.
Already upgraded non-sport suspension to stock sport springs and Bilstein sports. Currently still on stock 15's. Will 225/50R16 drop me even more?

At least IMO. Any reason why you dont want to go bigger? 17's will keep a decent ride, you won't have to worry so much about potholes and will look a lot nicer

Concerns are: harsher ride, chance of rubbing, possible warranty issues, reduced torque, reduce braking, gas mileage, likelyhood of of bending rims, etc.

there is no real chance of rubbing with 17s and your suspension isn't low enough to rub either unless you run the wrong offset. the ride is a little harsher, on the 17s i have a high performance tire and on the 16s i have a winter tires. I don't think warranty will be an issue at all, since 17s were an option on the 2001 Audis. The reducded torque shouldn't be that much of a difference and braking may actually be better due to a larger surface area. As long as you keep your tires pumped, bending them shouldnt be such a big problem, unless your area is FILLED with potholes and you hit them constantly.
