Count me among the NJ B5 owners with theft attempts...

*sigh* Sorry kevin.
Not sure about the rear handle thing solving your problems. Everywhere I've seen it discussed, it's applied to 99.5 and newer. Not sure if the story changes at all on the older door handles. Can't help ya here. :-(
I have to pick up stuff from Ikea that won't fit in the TL (no fold down seats). I was tempted to bring the S4 a few weeks ago...but I'd need the thieves to be smart enough to make off with the car...this crap wouldn't do me any good!

Sorry kevin. as the others have said, at least it looks like it's just the handle.
I'd imagine you'd need the whole locking mechanism replaced from the rear door to the front, but I'm not really sure. As goldie said, ask Steve.

So sorry man
My mk2 Jetta just got broken into the other night and they took the stereo, tools, and my new big brake conversion. They broke the window and the car was unlocked... IDIOTS! :-( I know how ya feel. Good luck with the repair.

I know I parked my car in the "good section of Newark" for attempt #2, but come on Kevin, Jersey
Gardens??? That's where AlexE's car was broken into/stolen along with several others.
Regardless, sorry to hear man. The number of us northern NJ guys with untouched cars continues to drop
Good luck with the repair. As always, I highly recommend Ferraras in Montclair.
