CraigB, how does your A4 suspension setup compare to your M3 suspension? (more)

I'm extremely curious to know because one of my apartment-mates owns a '98 M3, and I dig its stock suspension. It is firm and feels very connected to the road, but is not overly harsh at all. I'd like to emulate that suspension feel on my A4. I don't know if a springs/shocks combo will suffice or if a coilover setup is needed to achieve the M3 ride feel. Thanks for any comments.

...it tends to rebound a bit too much on certain bumps/rolls in the road. The stock M3 suspension was nice, but I've made a couple of mods that make it perfect, IMO. I replaced the stock sway with Eibach adjustables. I also installed the Motorsport x-brace; it bolts to the subframe under the tranny. I think this made more difference than the sways. At $150, it's the single best upgrade I've done. I'm very satisfied with the stock M3 springs/shocks.
Back to the A4...I've had Konis (not properly adjusted) and Bilsteins (currently) with H&R Sports on the A4. I think the Konis would be perfect, if adjusted correctly for rebound. The only problem with them is that they are not adjustable while on the car. If I can get good info on how to remove/install suspension, I may try to set the Konis to my liking. Otherwise, it's too expensive to pay someone to remove/install multiple times. I'm also considering H&R Coilovers, as I'd like it just a bit lower, but not as low as the H&R Race springs.
