cruise control
I have a '98 A-4 Avant with about 45k miles. The cruise control is giving me problems when I try to "resume" or "accelerate". The cruise control will just turn off. Technician says this is normal. Anybody else have this happen?

NOT normal. The cruise switch fails often. Mine is throwing codes already.
Intermittent, and twice now. THe switch needs to be replaced. It'll throw code 17569. (I think). It's NOT in the normal place when you look it up in the Bentley DTC code table. You gotta look in the S4 table.
