Cruise Control dead.
#13
My cruise control went dead about a year ago and it ended up being the clutch pedal switch which is located directly behind the clutch. Since i upgraded my clutch and flywheel, the mech never resituated the clutch pedal switch, which controls the cruise control and cuts off the rpms from revin up when engaging the clutch. Now, if you dont have a standard and havent replaced anything dealin with the clutch then excuse my post.. Cheers

You're daft. It's almost always the controller if the switch couldn't be cleaned. Mine was that, as was many others.
So that means you have no idea what actually fails in the module itself, or where it's located.

Right...
Well first off, I wasn't shouting, I never do...I'm computer literate rather than extremely car literate.
^^ That would be why I'm here asking for help as the nearest dealer is 2 1/2 hours from me and I don't have the time to spend a whole day driving and sitting in a waiting room for them to tell me that it was something you could have helped me with.
So, back to my original question, does anyone have a step-by-step of where the switch or controller or module is located??
I know the module is behind the glove box and not to go straight to that at all. How do I take apart the column to get to the switch? And where is the controller located and how do I get to that one?
And also, my car is a manual.

1. You could have been a bit more helpful then simply "Go to the dealer." 2. who said nasty? 3. For those that don't live on the internet, just have a bit more patience with them. especially those that have just became members.

Like I said CAPS usually imply loudness in a post, and that's exactly what you did with, CRUISE CONTROL.
The dealer was a suggestion. It seems thus far no one really has a write up for this. I myself have never done it.
Given the information in your posts, if anyone has any ideas on how to get this done they will post.
Best luck.
Another idea is bringing the car into a smaller local shop.

A couple of points. The purpose of this forum should be to help members; not rip them apart! Festus posted in caps, then disappeared leaving coledog takin the rap! BTW, any help would be appreciated - I am also experiencing this problem - cruise control that is. Peace!

It seems like everyone has done one of the listed fixes, can no one just write up a quickie how-to guide for us? Some of use are kinda begging here...
